After obtaining a master's degree in "Engineering Degree in Science" (Major in Computer Science applied to the Financial Markets) at the Ecole Polytechnique de Nice, Gael kick-started his career as an Analyst joining the trail-blazing Equity and Derivatives desk of BNP Paribas in Paris, France. At BNP Paribas, Gael was in charge of supervising advanced operational projects and developed analytical tools within the Investment Banking division of the group. From then onwards, Gael’s passion for trading coupled with his advanced skills in Computer Science and Mathematics led him to set up his own account focusing on sports betting arbitrage strategies. He set his company within the Sophia Antipolis Technological Center, also known as the “European Silicon Valley”. He achieved the implementation of new arithmetic models to level up arbitration strategies in high frequency bets. He then built and managed a team of high caliber engineers - all of them experts in quantitative analysis - to create and test different alternatives strategies and quantitative models. Gaël focused on new processes and methodologies implementing modern portfolio allocation methodologies addressing wealthy Individuals. Gaël Itier is a recognised expert in his field.
